Just a few thoughts …
The next two months will find us on some wonderful musical adventures …
and before we ‘fly away’ I thought I’d let you know a little bit about where our engagments will be taking us.’
We’ve been invited on two different cruises … the first one on Seabourn Odyssey, April 8 - 18, sailing from Beijing to Osaka, Japan with wonderful port visits in Korea and Japan along the way. We’ll step off of the Odyssey in the port of Kobe/Osaka Japan and the Silversea Shadow will be waiting for us to take us further along the coast line of Japan (including a few wonderful days in Tokyo) from April 19 - 26.
We’ve been to Japan many times, especially when our Emilie was doing a semester abroad in Tokyo and later when she was teaching English for a year in Kobe. But Japan always holds mysteries and secrets that are waiting to be discovered and there is no better time to visit than when the Cherry Blossoms are in bloom!'
Outside of an overnight stop in Seoul many years ago, we’ve never visited or explored Korea. So this trip will allow us to ‘check’ another item off our travel Bucket List!
Not to mention we’ll get to perform two concerts on each ship as we enjoy Spring in Asia!
We’ll be back home for a few days before heading to Mexico and California for a few private concerts the first week of May. But we’ll have to unpack and repack rather quickly because we’ll be heading to Venice, Italy on May 10th to join Silversea Whisper for a sail down the Adriatic Coast to Taormina, Sicily and then continuing up the West side of the ‘Boot’ all the way to Livorno on Silversea Spirit. We’re hoping to spend a few extra days in Italia visiting friends and some of Marty’s relatives … and to continue our search for a possible ‘home away from home’ there … before returning stateside. Stay tuned ………..
So … unless your vacation plans somehow match ours … we won’t be seeing most of you for a couple of months. But June 1 and 2 finds us back in concert locally at Barrington Stage in Massachusetts, The Axelrod Performing Arts Center in Deal Park, New Jersey on Saturday, June 15th and at the Bradstan Cabaret Room at the Eldred Preserve in Sullivan County (The Catskills) on June 23. We’ll be posting more details on my summer appearances in the near future … so do check back on my site in a few weeks.
And let me also say ‘thank you’ New York City for packing 54Below March 8th and 9th for my ‘back by popular demand’ concert of Paris To Broadway. Both evenings were ‘over the top’ both with audience enthusiasm as well as critical acclaim. I was reminded at both shows just how smart, sophisticated and appreciative NY audiences are and how much I adore performing in my hometown!
Last but not least … consider joining us in September on our Autograph Tour of Tuscany. The response to our new association with Craftours has been terrific and presently there are very few spots remaining before we’re Sold Out. But no worries … we’re already contemplating our Autograph tours for 2025. Ireland? Bordeaux? London and the British Isles? Hmmmmm?
