UPCOMING

Dear friends, fans and family,

Summer has long been in the Rear-View Window and Autumn seems to be in quite a hurry to get to Winter.  Just when I begin to think I’ll have some time to myself, it seems the pace of my life and performance career has never been more demanding.

I’ve posted several photos below, not only to share with you, but to also remind myself of how much has transpired in my life these past few months.

Marty and I had long been looking forward to being ‘special’ guests on board Crystal Symphony for two weeks this past July as we sailed from Thessaloniki, Greece thru the Mediterranean and up the East coast of Italy.  The trip was spectacular in so many ways and we could not have had a more pleasurable time seeing old friends and making new ones during those 16 days.

Little did we know that we were heading into the most demanding, complex and busiest months in recent memory!

On board the Symphony, we were surprised by our dear friend Barbara Miller Beale, who since 1993 has been an active business partner in our recordings, concerts and theatrical productions.  Barb had taken some time off from ‘show business’ and though we always stayed in touch, to hear a knock on our stateroom door and to see her standing there, instantaneously elevated the ‘fun’ level of the cruise!   But little did we know that Barb would soon have us talking and making plans for a 2026 release of Christine’s long awaited Christmas Album.  Fans will soon be hearing a Social Media version of the Title song, I Remember Christmas, which was just recorded in early November.

Most of the trip, Marty and I were mentally preparing for the 54 Below debut of my new Cabaret show called S’Wonderful!   Upon returning home from Europe we spent most of our time rehearsing and arranging the music for this set.  We couldn’t have been more pleased with the audience and critical reaction to this special evening of songs.  Stephen Mosher describes it better than I ever could and I have posted his words below.

One would hope we’d have a little time off before getting into the studio for our Christmas recording but that wasn’t meant to be.  The brilliant Mark Nadler was just getting started with the creation of an evening celebrating the composing work of Marty Silvestri and Joel Higgins.  The Beat of a Wandering Heart began to come alive in late August and for five nights in November, George Dvorsky, James Harkness, Casey Borghesi and I brought audiences to their feet at the Laurie Beechman theater with this amazing and truly brilliant Musical Review.  (Those are not MY words … but the unanimous descriptions of our New York theatrical critics!)

If you didn’t get a chance to see it in person or by Livestreaming, my desire is that it will be produced again and again and more audiences will get to experience this show’s magic.

Though I would have enjoyed a leisurely week or two this Fall, I can’t thank Mark Nadler enough for his conception, imagination, and direction of The Beat of a Wandering Heart. It was such a fulfilling experience.

Marty and I will get a few days in Honolulu to ourselves for Thanksgiving.  As most of our immediate family seemed to be spread across the globe for that Thursday, we decided to take advantage of the ‘lull in our life’ and eat our turkey Aloha style!

The New Year starts with a bang … and doesn’t let up till June.  Please see my Upcoming schedule below and perhaps we’ll see you in the Bay Area or Palm Desert or Key West or Palm Beach or Philadelphia.  If not there … then how about Southeast Asia or Japan or even Australia in early Spring?

Wherever it may be, we hope we ‘musically’ cross paths soon.  And Marty and I wish you the best of the Holiday Season and a Happy and Healthy 2026!

As always … Marty has my back!

At work

This is me. A Woman of Means, attempting to give advice to the stunning and Uber-talented Ms. Casey Borghesi.

Stephen Mosher of Broadway World thinks S’Wonderful is just that!

“Last night I took my girlfriend to see the new Christine Andreas show at 54 Below.  She had never seen Christine before and was very excited.  During the show, more than once, my girlfriend became emotionally overcome - to the point where a lady sharing the table with us handed her a packet of tissues to wipe away her tears.  Whispering my thanks to the purveyor of the tissues, she said to me, “She’s magical.” When the program was completed, my girlfriend turned to me and said, “She is bewitching.”  One cabaret show, one table, two women, both with the same estimation of Christine Andreas:  she has magic inside of her.  Of course, this is not news to me, for I have loved Christine Andreas since I was sixteen years old.  I was teaching myself about the American musical theater by reading books and buying cast albums when I spotted the cast recording of Oklahoma! in a record shop.  If I’m being honest, I wasn’t interested in Oklahoma! but the Hilary Knight album cover art demanded that I buy the record album, and that is where I fell in love with Christine Andreas, partly because of the surreal quality of her singing voice and partly because of the way she said, “I thought you was somebody” and “Gracious… hm, wha’d I wanna do that fer?” and what followed was a succession of acquisitions of Christine Andreas cast albums and, eventually, vocal recordings.  So, while I have known the magic of Christine Andreas for forty-five years, my girlfriend has only just discovered it, some twelve hours ago, and one of my favorite things in life is watching other people fall in love with an artist whom I adore.  But, truth be told, last night I watched an entire room of people fall in love with Christine Andreas, whether for the first time or the forty-fifth.  It was, indeed, magical.”
